Ayon sa isang news outlet, dumadami ang mga kaso ng teen pregnancies sa Pilipinas kung saan ang mga ama o tatay ng mga bata ay mas nakakatandang lalake (older men). Napansin ng mga health workers na ito ay isang trend, at ang madalas na dahilan ng mga kabataang babae na nabubuntis ay financial security na naibibigay ng matatandang lalake.

The good: The Philippine government will roll out Free Wifi

The bad: You can't surf porn and download from torrent sites using it.

Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary for Special Concerns Eliseo Rio Jr. told the House Committee of Appropriations Thursday that aside from pornographic sites, torrent sites will also be made inaccessible to users of the government’s free WiFi (wireless fidelity) service once it is rolled out.
